Gerson Zevi: Artist Residency Program - Land Art
_

The artist Robert Smithson defined 'Earthworks' - also known as Land Art or Earth Art - as art in which landscape and the work of art are inextricably linked. It emerged in the United States in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In 2014, I was invited to participate in Gerson Zevi's 'Land Art' artist residency program, which brought together multi-disciplinary creators with the intention to live on-site at selected works while creating work ourselves. I crafted a series of writings documenting my personal experiences with the works, and the community of photographers, videographers, sculptors, and writers who accompanied me.
